MAHERIDA - Diving Trip (from Crete)
Maherida is a relaxing and beautiful dive site known for its Posidonia seagrass meadows. These underwater plants look like a forest and are home to many kinds of fish and sea creatures. The area is full of marine life, and you can often see different species all in one place. The water is clear, and the beach above is quiet and natural, making the whole area feel untouched. This is a great dive for nature lovers who want to explore a peaceful and lively underwater world.
During the boat trip to dive site, you’ll set up your gear and receive a safety briefing from your instructor. Once at the site, you’ll dive into clear waters and explore the beautiful Posidonia seagrass meadows, often called the forests of the sea. These meadows are home to a variety of Mediterranean marine life, offering a peaceful and nature-filled dive. It’s a great experience for certified divers who enjoy calm conditions and discovering rich underwater ecosystems.

Everyone in snorkeling and diving trips or diving courses conducted by Blue Adventures Diving in Crete is insured. The insurance is provided through DAN (Divers Alert Network) and covers evacuation and treatment in the event of diving-related accidents. This includes incidents such as decompression sickness, injuries during entry or exit, and other common dive-related issues.
Most accidents are minor and well-covered by the DAN insurance. However, we highly recommend that each traveler has their own travel insurance, and that certified divers carry personal dive insurance. This ensures full protection in the case of more serious injuries, hyperbaric chamber treatment, or high-cost emergency evacuations back to your home country.
